Artist-led since 2019 — grounded in dance, powered by purpose.

Skylar Campbell Dance Collective (SCDC) was founded to champion independent, artist-driven dance and create a space where imagination, collaboration, and innovation can flourish. Led by Principal Dancer Skylar Campbell, SCDC is a direct expression of the founder’s deep-rooted passion and more than a decade of artistic exploration in the field of dance. The collective was born from a desire to make room for bold, uncompromising work while responding to a dance landscape where access to high-caliber, visionary performance is too often limited.

SCDC brings together a community of dancers, choreographers, and creative voices dedicated to presenting dynamic, courageous, and deeply human works. Through performances, residencies, and curated programs, the collective explores the evolving possibilities of movement and storytelling. SCDC celebrates diverse aesthetics and lived perspectives, cultivating an environment where risk is embraced and originality is essential.

The collective strives to shape a vibrant future for dance that honors the integrity of tradition while pushing toward new modes of expression, authorship, and creative freedom.

Beyond the stage, we’re committed to supporting dancers in building sustainable careers. Through our partnership with Blue Moon Pilates, we offer access to Pilates instructor certification, complete with scholarship opportunities for eligible applicants. Interested in applying? Please email us to learn more about qualifications and how to begin your journey toward becoming a certified instructor.

“Dance enriches society’s physical, economic, social, and cultural elements. Advancing ballet performances like these will continue to fuel curiosity in an avid dancegoer and spark interest in someone who is merely endeavoring something new.”

Our Core Values

1. Artist-Led Freedom

We hand the mic to the dancers and choreographers shaping the future of dance, protecting their freedom to take risks and speak in their own voice.

2. Bold Work, Real Impact

Every project must matter. We choose work that is bold, imaginative, and impossible to walk away from unchanged.

3. Dance Belongs to Everyone

We create space for audiences to connect, question, and see themselves in the work, while making real moments where artists and audiences meet.
